ST NICHOLAS GREEK FOLK DANCE GROUPS are a local manifestation of a youth ministry of the San Francisco Metropolis. Through the ancient folkloric traditions of dance, music, and costume-making, the Hellenic culture comes alive for our young people.

All children of the Parish – from kindergarten through 12th Grade – may participate in the dance group appropriate to their age, beginning after Pascha/Easter. Our Dance Groups typically perform at our Annual Greek Festival (October) as well as other local venues, by invitation. Dancers may also choose to participate in the annual San Francisco Metropolis Folk, Dance and Fellowship.

As the Greek dance ministry focuses on both dancing and fellowship, the entire family is encouraged to become involved. Parents may participate in the Parents’ Dance Support Group.
