Orthodox Christian Stewardship is a way of life, which acknowledges accountability, reverence, and responsibility before God. A primary goal of stewardship is to promote spiritual growth and strengthen faith. Becoming a Steward begins when we believe in God, to whom we give our love, loyalty and trust and act on those beliefs. As Stewards, we affirm that every aspect of our lives comes as a gift from Him. Stewardship calls on the faithful to cheerfully offer back to God a portion of the gifts with which they have been blessed. (Source: Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of North America)

2017 Stewardship Message from Fr. Seraphim
To the Parishioners of St. Nicholas Church,
With Christmas almost upon us, we at St. Nicholas are truly thankful for you and your family here in our Church. You are a vital part of our church community.
Please take a few minutes to fill out your 2017 Stewardship Card in support of our parish ministries. Kindly consider this reminder during this season of joy and good will to ensure the success of the programs undertaken for the spiritual needs of our community. Remember that your stewardship provides the foundation for our parish ministries and our efforts in meeting the challenge of spreading Christ’s Word and our Orthodox Faith.
Stewardship is an opportunity to examine our priorities and values, to express our thankfulness, to give of ourselves, and to grow in grace. It allows us to participate in the work of God. Giving is not a substitute for commitment – it is an expression of our commitment.
May the grace of Our Lord bless you and your loved ones to experience the joy of Christ’s Birth through the joy of giving.
Yours in Christ,
Fr. Seraphim Majmudar
St. Nicholas Parish Priest
