What is stewardship?
Orthodox Christian Stewardship is a way of life, which acknowledges accountability, reverence, and responsibility before God. A primary goal of stewardship at St. Nicholas is to promote spiritual growth and strengthen our faith. Becoming a steward begins when we believe in God, to whom we give our love, loyalty and trust and act on those beliefs. As stewards, we affirm that every aspect of our lives comes as a gift from Him. Stewardship calls on the faithful to cheerfully offer back to God a portion of the gifts with which they have been blessed. (Source: Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of North America)
As a steward of St. Nicholas, your time, talent, and treasure enable St. Nicholas to fulfill its mission through divine services, programs and events, philanthropic activities, and other Christian ministries. By the grace of God and the generosity of our community, the operating budget of St. Nicholas is completely supported through the stewardship of our parishioners.
Thank you for your love and support of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. The 2024 stewardship card is now available for parishioners to complete and return.
How to Become a St. Nicholas Steward
To become a steward of St. Nicholas, each household must fill out and submit a stewardship card on an annual basis. Stewardship cards enable us to keep a more accurate record of the number of members and projected support for budgeting and reporting purposes. For parishioners, a stewardship card enables you to participate in parish ministry organizations and vote on important parish matters at General Assembly meetings.
